Robert Day is an experienced operating partner whose firm has historically delivered exceptional results to its investors. The operating platform at Day Capital Partners is designed to take advantage of his long term track record with partners, lenders, buyers and sellers and to produce exceptional results in an increasingly difficult real estate market. He is a native Atlantan who has extensive real estate experience beginning in the 1970's with Citizens & Southern National Bank. In the 1980's Mr. Day directed the real estate consulting practice for Merrill Lynch & Co in Atlanta and then began his real estate transactional career in Merrill's Capital Market Group. In the 1990's Mr. Day co-founded EdwardsDay Incorporated a real estate investment firm where he has served as President for 15 years. Over his 30 year career, Mr. Day has been involved in over $2 billion of real estate transactions including more than 25 partnerships and $500 million in acquisitions totaling over 3.5 million square feet in Atlanta, Boston Washington DC, Miami, Dallas and Minneapolis. These transactions were highly focused on the acquisition and intensive management of opportunistic investments and proved to be quite successful. Most of these partnerships have now gone full-cycle with equity returns averaging north of 40%. Mr. Day is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), the Urban Land Institute and a licensed real estate broker in the State of Georgia.
